Open Channel Flow of a U-Tube Manometer
Open channel flow analysis was performed to determine the free surface in this U-tube manometer. The analysis begins with one side of the fluid being two inches higher than the other. With gravity applied, the water flows back and forth. From this analysis, we can determine characteristics such as the period of the flow inside of the U-tube and the flow rate at any point in the fluid.
